Serioux traded to TFC

According to 3rd Degree sources the hypothetical deal that was making the rounds today has now gone down and Adrian Serioux has been traded to Toronto FC.  While it’s unknown at this time what FCD got in return, our sources say Serioux is on a plane to Ft. Lauderdale tonight to join TFC in Sunrise, Florida.

It seems apparent that the combination of the tryout of Marcelo Saragosa at right back, plus the presence of so many new center backs that may allow Drew Moor to play wide right, has made Serioux surplus to requirements here in Dallas.

Serioux had long wanted to play in Canada and had made it known in Dallas his desire to go north.  Serioux was originally selected by TFC from Houston Dynamo in the expansion draft when Houston left him unprotected for the express purpose of playing at home, only to have TFC turn around and trade him to Dallas.

In two season with Dallas, Serioux has started 36 games, including playoffs, gathering four assists.
